Caregiver Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must be compassionate, patient, reliable, respectful, and able to provide safe, quality care. Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
Applicants must meet applicable Pennsylvania Department of Health and agency requirements, which may include:
Ability to safely assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living
Pennsylvania criminal background check and an FBI criminal background check when required
ChildLine child abuse clearance when applicable
Tuberculosis screening showing the applicant is free from active tuberculosis
Completion of required competency evaluation and training
Valid identification and authorization to work in the United States
Professional references
Reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance when driving clients is required
